Guest Bathroom Reveal!

It's finally done! My sweet cinnamon buns gave me an anniversary bathroom and I couldn't be happier.

Here is the only before shot I have. But, really, isn't this one enough? Yuk!

I bought the wooden mirror at The Guild Shop resale for $20. The vanity with attached sink was on sale at Lowe's for $89. (No longer in stock!)

The painting of the girl I thrifted years ago. The black and white photo is an aerial view of a freeway I tore it out of a magazine and framed in a Target frame. The smaller picture is a Derek Hess painting that Anthony tore out of a book he had, also framed in a Target frame.

The metal shelf is vintage that I thrifted years ago. It was green, we spray painted it deep purple. The small Pyrex beaker holds Q-Tips. Red Pyrex fridgy dish holds cotton balls.

The light is a beautiful, simple linen drum light bought at Lowe's for only $59. It looks more expensive than that, right? It's great quality and came included with a CFL bulb.

I think its the perfect light for the room. Now with it off do you notice the light coming from the left?

Anthony installed a light over the shower! Before there was a lowered piece of the ceiling over the shower making it like a little shower cave. Why builders do this I have no idea. Once it was removed it opened up the space sooo much.

The floors are the same tile that we used in the kitchen. Anthony installed green glass tiles as accents. No matter the tweaking, I couldn't get the color to show in the pics. Trust me, its a pretty green glass tile :)

So there she is! I still have to order a recessed toilet paper holder. They don't sell them at the big box places other than in cheap looking chrome for some reason. I need to add another picture to the right of the Hess picture. Maybe something in a round frame. The shelf will have stuff added to it as I discover said stuff. The towel ring I bought was too big, I am in search of the perfect one. The door hinges need to be changed out to brushed nickle. And finally get new shower faucets. I will have to get the paint color name to you guys as it has to be the perfect grey paint ever. No blue undertones!

Those little things will come in time. But for now she is very guest worthy :) Thank you for your hard work muffin top! Now get to work changing out those hinges ;)

Amanda- Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my seaglass find! I love your bathroom makeover and YOUR BLOG!!!

As a fellow 'Woman of height' (though I have you beat by that 1/2 inch!!), I can relate to the comments! This past weekend in Atlantic City, I had a 'first'... I was in a buffet line and an 'older, wealthy looking guy' behind me in line asked me if I was still growing. I told him probably only horizontally. He said "Oh no, You have an ELEGANT HEIGHT!" I've never heard that one before!!

Amanda, I love your shower redo! That new light is just perfect, and we, too, have had the shower cave. So I know just what you mean. It's always good to actually be able to see what you're cleaning, no? lol.

PS - Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment!

Awesome transformation!!! I have seen your "before" picture sooo many times (not yours, but ones that look very similar). I'm impressed with all the stuff you thrifted!

WOW! Great use of the greys!! I'm always scared to use that color, but I might be inspired now. ;)

Question about the light fixture from Lowes: does it emit a blue colored light? Everytime I see that fixture in the store, it always looks like a dull blue, hazy light is coming from the CFL. Thoughts? Thanks!
