Get Organized, Get Accountable

I consider myself an organized person. Just don't look in the trunk of my car or in my closet! I don't keep every birthday card that anyone has ever given me in my life. I am able to purge clothes that don't fit or that I dont like anymore. I have never had a problem with throwing away things and cleaning up after myself, and I am always open for more improvement.

I was going through one of my favorite blogs, Confessions of a Former Messie, and was reading a post about her "52 Missions". 52 Missions is from the Get Organized Wizard web page. It's a community of people striving to set goals and be more organized in their homes and their lives. With the *free* program you are sent one organizing mission via email every week to complete. The once a week mission takes only 30 minutes to do, and we all have that to spare for an organized life, right? You can invite friends and family members to complete these missions along with you also. It helps a lot to have people doing it along with you in regards to accountability.

I signed up today and am awating my first email. (I'm so excited!) I almost wish I could get more than one email a week, haha!

So who is ready to get organized?

I'm committed!

Oh I want to do this!!! I'll be your organized buddy! Ha! (Now I just have to find a chubby buddy to diet w/) We all know w/ my punks I could use a little organization in my life. Maybe we could have a huge garage sale after all this! I'm off to sign up.

I just checked out the website you referenced in your post. What a great tool! Thanks for the referral.

I'm also a big fan of Craigslist. My entire living room set is the Pottery Barn Charleston collection that I found on there. I wanted the chair and 1/2 from them for so long and thanks to Craigslist I could actually afford it! :)

Have a nice weekend Amanda!

Ooh, great idea. I wonder if I'm up to the challenge - it's an intriguing one! Do you think it's too late for me to join?

And...exactly how does one make jalepeno popper dip? Because I think that's a skill I could use throughout my life.

I think it is fate that I just read your this post. I have been talking about how much I want to be organized and how it makes me so jealous with other people are. I actually put being more organized on my 30 before 30 list. I think signing up for this may be exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!!!! (And thank you for participating in my BF community: I think you are beautiful and appreciate the opportunity to get to connect with you).

I love your blog title. When my father-in-law met me, soon after I started dating my husband...he called me a "tall drink of water" I'm only 5'10" though. I read that you are 6' (on blog frog).
I so need this organization thing. I'm going to sign up. Thanks.
